Learn to make a beautiful, macrame plant hanger at our studio and workshop in Noosaville.
During this workshop, you’ll learn how to make a few different knots, patterns and weaving hacks, and go home with your own unique, handmade planter! All materials are supplied and we’ll be using thick cotton cord and wooden beads for long lasting strength and endurance. This workshop is approximately four hours and by the end you’ll have a basic understanding of macrame and your very own hanging planter. Nibbles + wine and the opportunity to meet fun new friends is also included .
Our workshop host, Leisa Gunton, completed an Advanced Diploma of visual arts at Tewantin TAFE, and has won several awards for her ceramic work. Leisa is a rainforest inspired artist, producing artwork from multiple materials highlighting the beauty and the interconnection between geology and rainforests. She hosts macrame workshops across the Sunshine Coast and at the iconic Woodford Folk Festival.
